Juggling Motherhood and Her Culinary Dream: Cristina Martinez
During the fall semester of my senior year, I took my first photography course at Temple University. The class had a profound impact on me, allowing me to immerse myself in the Philadelphia community and connect with some incredibly talented, inspiring people. For my final project, I had the opportunity to interview Cristina Martinez, the chef of South Philly Barbacoa and Casa Mexico, and tell her empowering story of the challenges she faces as an immigrant, separated from her family, all while running a business that has grown to success. Getting to know Cristina through this project was such an enriching experience Iā'll never forget.
